New Parliament takes the oath only and delays its session for a week

Shafaq News / The New parliament decided to delay its first session to the eighth of current month because of the lack of a quorum in the presence of MPs.

The quorum of 150 MPs has not been completed after the Kurdish MPs and the Union of national forces withdraws from the meeting after a dispute with State of Law coalition .

The head of the session , Mehdi al-Hafeth said, “the session will be delayed to next week, specifically on 8/7 until the parliamentary blocs reach agreement on the nomination of President of the Council and his two deputies.”

Thus, the new deputies failed to choose a new president of the parliament and contented themselves in the first meeting on the constitutional oath.
