Special meeting to discuss the security and humanitarian situation in Diyala

BAGHDAD / NINA / The rappotrue of the House of Representatives, Mohammed al-Khalidi said the House will hold a special meeting tomorrow to discuss the security and humanitarian situation in Diyala province, in the presence of the governor of Diyala Amer al-Mujama’i .

Khalidi said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / ” The meeting of the House of Representatives tomorrow will also see the discussion of the resignations submitted by members of the IHEC and the legal protection of the IHEC.”

Buhriz in Diyala province has seen military operations to flush out elements of ISIS after they controlled some areas in the district.

Members of the IHEC submitted their resignation last Tuesday collectively to the President of the Board of Commissioners, asserting , that the reason for their resignation is being subjected to pressures stemming from the conflict between the legislature and the judiciary powers on the interpretation of paragraph (3 ) of Article (8) of the Electoral Act No. (45 ) for 2013 . / End
