[What about jaafari is he good for PM?] he has a super large ego...he will not be pushed around...but, he is also inclusive. the PoR will receive only one nominee from the largest bloc to be voted on by parliament. ...if in fact the NA is putting him up as their nominee they already know the Sunnis and Kurds are good with it. I believe the nominee will be voted on first by parliament...and each of the minister positions, IMO.
8-5-2014 Newshound Guru Tlar ...an agreement was just reached between the SOL and the coalition. Maliki will leave Iraq and each block within the NA (National Alliance) will recommend a candidate for PM and then the NA will vote on all and the winner will be the one who gets the most votes. This seemingly puts the control firmly in the hands of the coalition as I am sure that they will block vote for Mahdi. There was no nominee brought forth today for the PM position from either the SOL or the NA opposition. Parliament held a meeting but the announcement of the PM position has been postponed until Thursday's meeting at which time the NA will bring forth one nominee (not Maliki). If Maliki leaves Iraq as he has said he will do then at this meeting the Shia party will announce their nominee and Iraq will have peacefully had a transfer of power to the new non-sectarian government. This coming weekend is still looking good for our investment to finally come to a fruition.

What we are asking is impossible and what we are expecting is unreasonable. We will not know the date and rate in advance with any actionable certainty. Period. I look for news in the hope of some assurance of progress toward our liquidity event. There is no guarantee of anything in any of this. I am still hopeful. There is progress and all is not grim. Parliament Update: Between the dates of Eid al-Fitr being used to extend the 15 day constitutional PM mandate, and then Maliki's corrupt judge al-Mahmoud stating that they need two more days to announce both the largest bloc and Prime Minister it doesn't surprise me that they adjourned parliament until Thursday, August 7th. Good news is they can't delay it anymore then this because it is now noted in the Parliament Docite...we are that much closer to the end.

The next session of parliament will conduct a vote on Tuesday 8/5 and seat the new prime minister and the other positions. Nori Al-Maliki will not be the candidate put forward for prime minister. I am hopeful and now hearing they will not drag this on and the president will announce the final candidate tomorrow, Monday 8/4, and will formally submit the names of the prime minister, deputy prime minister and vice president to the parliament on time and in preparation for a vote in Tuesday’s 8/5 session.

Today, there is less than 4 trillion IQD out...what I spoke about is documented...from the CBI...what the US has or doesn't havt has never been documented...something else, if there is all of this IQD everywhere then why is there no currency in the banks of Iraq. It has dried up and why? Because the CBI does not want to put it back out after pulling it in and why? Because the new notes are coming that require and change in the value of them.

There should not be much screaming from the SOL (State of Law) the minute the nominee is announced because IMO, the heads of the SOL and Maliki will already be on an airplane to parts unknown having unsuccessfully not received the "real" deal they have been seeking from almost the beginning of this, which is immunity. They don't want to challenge this in court because if they are ruled not the largest block then they will have lost. This is their last hurrah, their last stall to get immunity. Their last argument. So between now and Tuesday expect to see this argument get bounced around in the news not the courts. Tuesday the NA will present its candidate. He will come from the Coalition, most likely Mahdi. My guy indicates having some conversations with some CBI staff members recently and they are just basically sitting on their hands waiting for a functioning government to take hold. SO, as of now, currency reform, it is just sitting idle and depending on WHO gets into power, fresh ideas and policies might emerge for numerous programs to be revised and enacted upon. It just depends on who gets in. In tandem with the ruling power is how the CBI makes it's moves. ...regarding the estimated 30-60 Trillion (some even estimate more) and the reality of exchanging that many notes. Again my friend indicates that "everyone here (Iraq) knows that not all notes worldwide CAN or WILL be exchanged". [post 2 of 2]
8-3-2014 Intel Guru TD ...my prediction (as discussed with my sandbox friend) is October -November for a formed government to begin operating. Then from there (as Massoum clearly spelled out) are the adoption of laws, dealing with the security situation and resolving the numerous other agenda items. SO much work to be done AFTER the government is named. So what's the deal with Maliki? In or out? His hope is to have enough power to call some shots from the sidelines.
