Ahrar MP calls to disclose names of absentees of today’s session

BAGHDAD / NINA / the MP, of the Ahrar bloc, Awad al-Awadi called on the presidency of parliament to disclose the names of the absentees from Sunday’s meeting.

He said in a press conference today that “the state of law MP disappointed us when approximately 50 % of them were absent ,” noting : “The quorum needed 10 MPs only to hold the session, but the state of law MPs absence led to a lack of quorum .”

He asked the Presidency of the parliament to take special measures to disclose the names of absentees.

The House of Representatives has adjourned its today’s meeting to next Tuesday for lack of a quorum of 163 MPs of the total number of 325 MPs. The session is supposed to complete the second reading of the draft budget . / End
