Baghdad (AIN) -The United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq congratulated Iraqis on Eid al-Fitr.
A statement by UNAMI cited “As the month of Ramadan Al-Mubarak comes to a close, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (DSRSG) for Iraq, Mr. Gyorgy Busztin, wishes the Iraqi people and Government a blessed Eid-ul-Fitr, on behalf of the entire UN family in Iraq.”
“It is time that the spirit of harmony and coexistence brings a lasting peace and prosperity for all in Iraq, to honor the great sacrifices made by so many,” Mr. Busztin said. “I salute their courage and resolve,” the statement concluded
